Tomás Emanuel Neca Adão Miranda Mingates

My academic journey began at NOVA-FCT, where I earned a Master's degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in electronics, which fueled my passion for microelectronics. My thesis focused on trying to improve the stability and reliability of IGZO memristors with the tuning of process parameters and materials stack.

Currently, I am a Research Fellow and a Ph.D. candidate in the MEON group at CENIMAT|i3N. My research is centered on memristors, with a particular focus on the integration of these into reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) as RF switches.
