SHORT CV

Santanu Jana holds a PhD from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences, Kolkata in the field of quantum dots and nanotechnology from the Department of Materials Science. After his PhD, he spent 1 year in Singapore, and 4 years at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS), France as a CNRS postdoctoral fellow and Marie Curie Individual research fellow. From January 2018 he joined Professor Elvira Fortunato as a postdoctoral fellow at CENIMAT-i3N, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He currently works as a researcher at CENIMAT.

He has more than 10 years of research experience in Colloidal Nanochemistry and Nanotechnology that covers the design and synthesis of different colloidal quantum dots, doped quantum dots, perovskite halide nanocrystals, self-assembly of solutions and application in opto-electronic devices.

He received Marie-Curie Individual Fellowship for his research work on 2D-chalcogenide semiconductor nanobites for soft-matter and their applications. She is currently working on different perovskite quantum dots and their application in smart electronics (TFT, Memory, etc.). He has published several scientific articles and review articles as author, co-author and corresponding author in a very high-impact journal. He has presented research papers at several national and international conferences.

Main scientific interests: esign and synthesis of different quantum dots and their opto-electronic properties; anufacture of MXene-based devices and their application in optoelectronics; telligent electronic application of quantum dots (photo-transistor, photo-detector, solar cell , electroluminescence).
