SHORT CV

I received my Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from FCT-UNL, in 2017. My master's dissertation titled: "Desenvolvimento de membranas magnéticas para tratamento de cancro" was supervised by Prof. Dr. João Paulo Borges and co-supervised by Dr. Paula Soares. In 2018 I was awarded a PhD fellowship (SFRH/BD/140090/2018) to conduct a project titled “Magnetic bioactive glass-based 3D systems for bone cancer therapy and regeneration”, once more under the supervision of Prof. Dr. João Paulo Borges, and co-supervised by Dr. Paula Soares and Prof. Dr. Jorge Silva.

My primary scientific interests lie in nanotechnology and biomaterials for medical applications, particularly polymeric electrospun composites for bone tissue regeneration and bone cancer treatment through magnetic hyperthermia using superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles.
