SHORT CV

Carlos J. Dias was born in Angola in 1959. 5 year degree in Engineering Physics and Materials, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, 1982. Provas de Aptidão Cientifica e Pedagógica with the works entitled “Guia para a elaboração de relatórios de Física” and “Electrets of Teflon-FEP polarization and charge stability and its application to the electret microphone”. PhD in Electronics Engineering in University College of North Wales (Bangor-UK) with the thesis entitled FERROELECTRIC COMPOSITES FOR PYRO- AND PIEZOELECTRIC APPLICATIONS, 1994.

Main scientific interests: Dielectrics, ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, pyroelectrics, acoustics, non-destructive testing and sensors.
