SHORT CV
Sofia Messias holds a degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2024, she completed her PhD in Sustainable Chemistry, focusing on "Sustainable Strategies for Solar Electrochemical Reduction of Carbon Dioxide to Fuels." During her doctoral studies, she undertook an internship at the University of Cantabria in the research group of Professor Angel Irabien. Sofia has been involved in various research projects, specializing in the fields of electrochemistry and the development of new components. In these areas, she has published 4 research articles, presented at over 17 conferences, and holds one patent. Her work continues to contribute to advancements in sustainable chemistry and innovative electrochemical solutions.
