This event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate research and innovation while engaging with our vibrant scientific community.
We are thrilled to announce that CENIMAT|i3N will be hosting four exciting activities during this year’s European Researchers' Night, which will take place today, 29th September!
1. Inspired by Nature: The power of cellulose | Dr. Ana Almeida: In this activity we will see how nature is a great source of inspiration for the production of new materials/devices. Visitors will be able to observe natural structures that are mostly made up of cellulose, such as seeds.
2. Metallurgy in Pre and Proto-history: contexts and technologies | Prof. Elin Figueiredo: The aim is to show different techniques for producing metal pieces with different shapes and decorations. The aim is to raise awareness of ancient manufacturing processes and the places where communities practiced them.
3. Exploring the world of gel materials: From Tissue Engineering to Environmental Applications | Dr. Marta Corvo: This activity will explore how gels, a unique state of matter, play a crucial role in various scientific and engineering applications.
4. From solar energy to CO2 conversion: a path to sustainability | Dr. Ana Inês Paninho: With this activity, we want to show the potential of renewable resources.
